Steven Gerrard is the captain of Liverpool FC and the current vice-captain of the England national team. It is often said that he is the heart and beat of Liverpool and has rescued the club time and time again from very bad positions. His effect on the game can be seen in full glory in the 2005 Champions league final, in which he led the comeback from three goals down to AC Milan to eventually win the match on penalties. It was a sort of performance as that Steven Gerrard puts in week in week out for Liverpool FC.
