David Villa is the player who currently plays as a striker for the Spanish National team and Barcelona. He is the record holder in Spain having scored 44 international goals equalling the record set by Raúl. He has spent much of his career at Valencia and has scored bucket loads of goals for the team. However, it was not until this summer that a transfer to one of the big clubs materialized as Barcelona signed him for €40 million. He is currently one of the high earners at the club and he has already justified his price tag by scoring 7 goals for Barcelona in just 13 appearances.
