Bolton Wanderers is a professional football club based in Bolton, England. It is one of the most respected and revered football clubs having won the FA Cup three times in a period of 10 years. They won the fourth FA Cup triumph in 1950s and that represents the last trophy to have been won by the club. They are one of the founding members of the football league in England and they are also one of the very few clubs to have not won the league title. Third position is the best that they have achieved and they have done so on three times, all those coming in the early part of the 20th century.

Even though Bolton fell into hard times in the late 1990s, it was resurrected and brought back to the top flight of English football by Sam Allardyce, who is considered as one of the club’s successful managers.
