Blackpool is the latest entrant to the Premier league and it has resulted in the latest record that has been set by the club in the promotion race. Blackpool is the first club to have been promoted through various divisions of the English football league through play-offs only. Blackpool are back in the Premier league after a gap of more than 30 years and this is the first time they will be playing in the Barclays Premier league.

This is easily the best part of the club’s history after enjoying four promotions in the period of nine years. Blackpool is also one of the very few clubs to have not gone out of the football league and they have done so for 101 years. The club has won the FA Cup final in 1953 and this ranks as one of the best achievements apart from making it into the Premier league.
